I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Clyde's passing. He was truly a great man, who will be missed dearly. I have so many memories of him when I was a young boy growing up, I too was on the receiving end of his horse bites, and my hand still hurts when I think of his hand shakes, when ever I went back home for a visit and saw him I always made the mistake of giving him a hand shake, he would never let you go until you were ready to drop to your knees. I was a great man who was always there to help people. Love you Clyde, say hi to Dad in heaven. Donnie & Laurette

Alden, Becky, Gwen, Kimberly, Wendy, Eddie and Families. "This is not the end; only the beginning." The passing of Uncle Clyde is, for me, the end of an era. He was the last surviving member of the family of Pup and Nanny MacKenzie. Uncle Clyde personified all that was virtuous and honourable in a son, a husband, a father, a family member and a member of a community. All this while dealing with adversity and hardship with tenacity, strength, determination and dedication. Uncle Clyde loved and respected the ocean, the land, his community and his family of friends and neighbours. He will be greatly missed and remembered as a great and wonderful person whose integrity, veracity, love and compassion knew no bounds. To each of you, please accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathy for your loss. We will dearly miss our Uncle Clyde and all that he embodied and exemplified. A life well lived; a rest well deserved. John, Heather, Johnny, Jamie and Jason Keating.

Uncle Clyde will be missed by too many people to even attempt to mention. He was a tremendous person who always did for others before he did for himself. He was as strong as an Ox but had the biggest heart that any human could ever have. He ALWAYS put his family first, no matter what. He was an amazing role model and mentor. He is going to be missed by all of his family, his nieces and nephews included. Rest in peace Uncle Clyde. XO

MacKenzie Family...I just learned of Clyde's passing via the beautifully written obituary in the Chronicle-Herald. The obituary captured eloquently one of the most beautiful human beings I have come across in my lifetime...the first time I met Clyde was when Shelly was ill and I will never forget the awe I felt after having a converstaion with him about Shelly's medical circumstances, honestly to this day I remember that moment because it felt like I met a Saint...a beautiful, warm, kind and loving man that touched so many lives in profound ways. The family will have so many fond memories of Clyde, may they put smiles on your faces, and bring teardrops of love and admiration to your eyes...a wonderful, beautiful man and a role model for all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I think of Uncle Clyde, I think of all the fun times growing up in the Tickle....playing on the beach, boat rides, candied popcorn & slideshows and getting the crap scared out of me at Halloween lol. I'll be forever grateful to Uncle Clyde for his life lessons and for also giving me my first Bible ( which I'll always cherish) . Sending big hugs.

Sincerest sympathy to all Clyde's family and friends... Clyde was a good friend to my bother , Louis. I remember when I was around eight or nine years ,that they would throw rocks at me so I wouldn't follow them as they went off to play ball. In later years I saw Clyde often when I went to play for church services at Milford Haven and he always remembered me . He had such a kind nature and a great love for his family. May he rest in peace ,and may light perpetual shine upon him. God bless you all.

Clyde was an amazing person,he was one whom I always looked up to when I was a young boy, I had the privilege of spending many hours in the boat with him fishing and learning the way of the sea.
