Levangie, Mildred Ann "Millie" It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred Ann "Millie" Levangie, age 69 of Mulgrave. Millie passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish surrounded by her loving family. Millie was born in Antigonish on April 28, 1951, a daughter of the late Norman and May (Hadley) Nicholson. Millie worked for Acadia Fisheries where she met "the love of her life" Anthony. After graduating from Mack Business College in Kentville, she became employed as a clerk at the Mulgrave Post Office where she worked her way up to Post Mistress. Millie retired on January 21, 2021, after a dedicated 50 years’ service with Canada Post. Millie was a gifted cross-stitcher, sewer and accomplished quilter, creating many beautiful pieces. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and was quite the horror/thriller movie buff. Millie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Anthony, Mulgrave; her precious son, Aaron (Erica) NB; siblings, Norman (Bonnie), Maine; Charles (Sue), Ontario; Marjorie, Mulgrave; Edgar (Carolyn), Linwood; Lorraine (Fred), Mulgrave; brother-in-law, Alan (Elizabeth), Frankville; sister-in-law, Marlene (David), Antigonish, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Millie was predeceased by her brother, Neville; brother-in-law, Ernie; and niece, Lisa. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Millie to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave, B0E 2G0. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
