I'm so very sorry to hear about Val's passing, we were friends in high school, she was such a bright light, especially when she spoke about the love of her life Justin. Valerie had such a great sense of humour, she always made us laugh (sometimes at the most inappropriate times - which was the best). We lost touch after high school but according to what I've read here, she continued to shine her bright light on other people in her work - which is not surprising, she had a huge heart (even though she tried to hide it most of the time by pretending to always be a tough guy). My sincerest condolences to all of you, Val will always remain in my thoughts as someone who made high school a little more bearable. God Bless
