CHANDLER, Ruth – It is with great sadness that we the family of Ruth (Wheaton, MacLeod) announce her passing on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the age of 97. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children; Raymond (Late Anne), Frank (Shirley), Ernie, Glenna, Elsie (Jerry), Harold (Linda), Melvin (Suzanne), Richard (Elizabeth), Calvin (Cheryl) and Gary (Miracle). She had 12 children, 31 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 7 great great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Wheaton; special sisters, Pauline, Mary Katie; special nieces, Cheryl, Joan and Faye. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Raymond, grandchildren, Roger and Joel; daughters, Margaret Alice and Annie Mae in infancy. We would like to take this time to Thank Dr. Ritter and his staff for their support and also to Dr. Monique LaFrance for her care and compassion over the years and also to the home support staff for their kindness and compassion towards our Mother. There will be no visitation and a private service for family only will take place at a later date with Rev. Wayne MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery. Donation’s in Ruth’s memory maybe made to Palliative Care or to Stewart United Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh.
