Cresine, Jean Kathryn – 78, West Bay, Inv Co., died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born In West Bay, Inv. Co. she was a daughter of the late Creighton Robert and Annie Mae (MacMillan) Leonard. Jean was a retired C.N.A., having worked at St. Anne’s Hospital, Arichat. She was a member of West Bay United Church, served as treasurer of West Bay Community Association for many years, where she was a devoted worker for the association. Jean was a very caring person who came home in 1954 to look after family members, which continued until the time of her death. Jean is survived by her son, Creighton, West Bay, sister Minnie Alice, New Jersey, USA; brothers Ross (Tena) , Mitchell (Marguerite), C.R. and Donald all of West Bay; aunt Lena Olsen, Hamiltion, ON; sisters-in-law Madeline, Hamilton, ON, Beverly and Margaret, of West Bay; brother-in-law Arvid Ferguson, Ancaster, ON; many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Ellis Cresine, sister Frances Ferguson, brothers Herbert, Alexander, Walter, Lloyd, Lawrence and Ewen. Jean was loved by one and all, she will be deeply missed. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2, at 2 pm in West Bay United Church with the Wayne Yorke, DLM officiating. Burial in West Bay Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society, West Bay Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
