CAMERON, Ruth Elizabeth-90, Port Hood, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2007 in Inverary Manor Nursing Home, Inverness. Born in Port Hastings, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lettie (King) Davis and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, knitting, making crafts, gardening and playing cards. Elizabeth was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church and a former member of the UCW. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Dennison; sons, Wilson (Alexina), Craigmore; George (Margie), Port Hood; Norman (Anne Marie), Lower Sackville; daughters, Elva (Donald) Fitzgerald, Yarmouth; Ruth (Joe MacInnis), Lake Ainslie; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by brothers, George and Lewis; sisters, Abigail, Frances and Margaret.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August 5, in Port Hood Funeral Home, Port Hood. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 6, in St. Stephen's United Church, Port Hood, with Rev. Roger Moore officiating. Interment to follow in Union Protestant Cemetery, Port Hood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen’s United Church, Inverary Manor or a charity of your choice.
