DIXON, James Berkley - 80, Canso, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Fox Island, he was a son of the late Frank and Mabel (Rhynold) Dixon. He was an avid hockey player in his younger years and remained a fan all of his life. Berkley was a member of Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso. He is survived by daughters, Ann (Brian), Orangeville, Ont.; Sheila (Chris), Midland, Ont.; Eileen, Whitby, Ont.; Michelle (Bill), Bible Hill; sons, Berkley (Gloria), Canso; John (Marlene), Fort McMurray, Alta.; sisters, Hannah Hart, Alice Hanlon, both of Canso; brothers, Babe (Sandra), Canso; Bill (Cora), Hazel Hill; Frankie, Canso; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jared, Cassandra, Daniella, Andrew, Elliot, Rachelle, Stephanie, Dominique, Alex, William. He was predeceased by his half-brother, Emmett. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Eastern Memorial Hospital.
