WEEKS, Ernest F. – Always in our hearts. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Ernest Weeks formerly of Stellarton in his 78th year. The son of the late Frank and Eva Weeks.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Nicholson) Weeks; son, Robert (Kendall) and their children, Rylen, Daylen and Adelyn, all of Courtenay, BC; his daughter, Christine (Jason) and grandsons, Kaden and Brogan of Mulgrave. The five grandchildren were the light of his life, his heart and soul. He is also survived by his brother, James (Marie), Mount Thom; sister, Margie (Jim), Churchville; brother-in-law, Mel Aikens, New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Jean, Ont; and many, many wonderful nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norm (Bonnie) Nicholson, Maine; Charlie (Sue) Nicholson, Ont; Millie (Anthony), Mulgrave; Edgar (Carolyn), Linwood; Lorraine (Fred), Mulgrave and their families.
Ernie was predeceased by his father, Frank; mother, Eva; his sweet daughter, Lisa; his big brother, Don; cherished sisters, Doris and Frances.
Ernie was a natural outdoorsman, teaching his children and grandchildren the skills of hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends most of all.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
