HOPE, Donald Bernard "Bernie" - Age 85, Port Hawkesbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Bernie was the son of the late Hedley and Mary Anastasia (Duffy) Hope. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosamond (MacNutt); their daughter, Allison (Peter); sons, Chris (Ann) and David (Mary); grandchildren, Madelaine, Jagger, Flynn, Claire, Wyatt and Joseph.
He was a lifelong educator serving as Vice Principal and Principal of West Kings District High School in Auburn and Guidance Counsellor and Special Education teacher in Port Hawkesbury. Our heartfelt thanks to our dear friends Sandy and Jan Harris for their unwavering support and care. Special thanks to the staff of the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home and Dr. Collins for their attentive care over the past several years.
Cremation has taken place. By request there will be no funeral. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
