Feltmate, Amanda Viola—90 Canso, died Sunday December 28, 2008, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Mansfield and Lila (Feltmate) Newell. Amanda was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Canso, and a member of A.C.W. Amanda is survived by daughter, Gloria (Goldie) Foster, Bruce Mines, ON.; sons Reg (Ruth) Feltmate, Lower Sackville; Brian, Edmonton, AB.; sisters Bertha (Harold) Mabey, New Glasgow; Jean (Howard) Greencorn, Half Island Cove; brother Stanley (Elizabeth) Newell, New Glasgow; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Lester, son Terry; great-granddaughter Addison Foster; sisters Edna Dort and Leona George; brothers Coleman, Gordon and Douglas. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2009 in All Saints Anglican Church, Canso with Rev. Dennis Hayward officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Donations in memory of Amanda can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso.
