MacGILLIVRAY, Barbara Gertrude – 59, Glendale, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Born in River Denys Station, Inverness Co., she was the daughter of the late Angus and Harriet (MacInnis) MacDonald. Barb was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, Glendale. Left to mourn her passing is her son, Angus, at home; daughter, Dawna (Foster Murphy), Inverness; granddaughter Isabella; sister, Mary King (Romeo Savoie), Halifax; and nephews Dale and Ricky King. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; half-brothers Terry and John Hugh; and half-sister Caddie. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the St. Mary of the Angels Church in Glendale, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the St. Mary of the Angels Parish Cemetery, Glendale. Donations may be made to the St. Mary of the Angels Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
