JULIAN, Keith Charles Sr. — 42, formerly of Waycobah First Nations, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2009, in the University of Ottawa, Heart Institute, Ottawa, Ont. Keith was living in Ottawa to persue his career in music but was from Waycobah First Nation. Born in Boston, Mass., March 30, 1967, to the late Arthur Julian and Philomena (Julian) Googoo. He enjoyed the company of friends and making new friends, keeping in touch with his children, reading at the library, fishing, video games, making crafts, also he was known for his music and loved to entertain.
Keith is survived by daughters, Kristene "Kris" Cremo-Julian, Tara L. Julian; sons, Darcy C.G. Googoo, Keith C. "Kase" Julian Jr.; stepfather, Edward "Eddie" Googoo; god children, Crystal Bernard and Danielle Paul, all of Waycobah; maternal brother, Allister Julian, Ottawa, Ont.; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Eaton; maternal uncle, Ted Barnaby, both of Shubenacadie; paternal grandmother, Margaret "Dr. Granny" Johnson; paternal aunts, Joan Marshall, Lottie Johnson, Patsy Dennis, Elizabeth Paul (Ryan), Mary Googoo (Allan), all of Eskasoni; Carol Marshall (Russell), Chapel Island; paternal uncles, Albert Julian, Gerard Johnson, Gerald Johnson and Thomas Johnson, all of Eskasoni. His biological sisters, Anne Marie Marchand (Jason), Chapel Island; Lisa Knockwood, Jenny Sue Knockwood, Billie Joe Knockwood, Tracy Knockwood, Wendy Gehue, all of Indian Brook and Jackie Knockwood-Augustine, Big Cove, N.B.; his biological brothers, Markie Howe, Dartmouth; Al Francis, Christmas Island; Lorne Paul, Millbrook; John Henry Knockwood and Brian Knockwood, both of Indian Brook. He is also survived by his former wife, Yvonne Cremo, Waycobah. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, John T. Johnson; uncle, Ralph Julian; aunt, Linda Moore, all of Eskasoni; his biological grandfather, Max Basque, Waycobah; his biological father, Clarence Knockwood Sr.; brothers, Clarence Knockwood Jr.; sisters, Cyrilla Knockwood, Anne Margaret Knockwood; uncle, Johnny Knockwood, all of Indian Brook. Keith had many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the family residence, 101 Reservation Rd., Waycobah after 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 28th, 2009. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah, with Father Robert McNeil officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
