Jordan, Clara Belle -68, Taylor Trailer Court, Guysborough, Guysborough Co., died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at home. Born in Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., November 1, 1940 she was a daughter of the late William and Clara (Mintus) Clyke. Clara Belle worked at the Canso fish plant for a number of years until she retire and was an adherent of the Sunnyville United Baptist Church. Clara Belle is survived by daughters, Sarah, Rita (Gary) and Mary Ann (Roland), all of Sunnyville; Clara Belle (Gladstone), Toronto, Ont; Nellie, Dartmouth; Rachel (Titus), London, Ont.; sons Darcy (Giselle), PEI; Norman (Sue Ellen), Eugene (Cathy), both of Dartmouth; Stevie (Tina),Roachville. Clara Belle also leaves to mourn 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Martha(Clyde), Sunnyville; brothers Harry and Victor both of Sunnyville; aunt Gertrude Borden, Guysborough, and a large number of nieces and nephews .She was predeceased by two sons in infancy; grandson Sterling; brothers Kenneth ”Duke”, Frederick, Clair, William and Charlie ; sisters, Gussie, Mary, Adeline and Vivian . Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2- 4 and 7-9 p.mm Wednesday in Sunnyville United Baptist Church from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Pastor Warren Fitzgerald officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Memorial donations may be made in Clara Belle’s memory to Sunnyville United Baptist Church or Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
