PARKER, William Allen "Bill" - 88, Guysborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2009 in High Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. Bill was a son of the late James and Martha (Gosbee) Parker. Being an army veteran of the Second World War Bill was a man of many talents. He received a BA in Accounting and was a boxer at Mount Allison University. He was a scout master for many years and had an excellent sense of direction in the woods that could not be beat. Bill was a beautiful artist, anyone having a painting in their home with the name W.A. Parker has a great and valued piece of art. He was also a free hand sign painter. Among his great loves was music, singing, and playing guitar. He is predeceased by his parents James and Martha; grandson, Travis Gerrior, son of Terri. He is survived by his ex-wife Barbara Conrad; daughters, Paddy (Ron), Terri (Larry), and Susan; son, Chuck; he is also survived by a son, Wayne; and daughter, Bev from a previous marriage. Also, son, Allen; and numerous grandchildren. He has helped many people and has lived a very full life. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation at the request of the family. Bill will be laid to rest with his parents in Memory Lane Cemetery, Musquodobit Harbour. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Thank you to everyone at the Nursing Home for their love and special care given to our Dad.
