MacKINNON, Anne Katherine “Nan”- 74. It is with deep sadness that the family of Anne “Nan” MacKinnon of Little Narrows announce her sudden death which occurred Saturday November 17, 2007 at home. Born in Jubilee, Victoria, Co., she was a daughter of the late John William and Mary Flora (Northen) Ellis. Nan was a homemaker and a mother. She was a member of St. Columba Parish, Iona. She was known and loved for her kindness and sense of humor and a laugh that would rattle windows. She will be sadly missed by her children Elizabeth (Malcolm) Matheson, Upper River Denys, Dannie (Katherine), Port Hastings; her pride and joy, her grand children Christopher MacKinnon and Erin MacKinnon, Port Hastings; sisters Millie (Jack) Fraser, Aberdeen, Marlene (Willard) Fraser, Middle River, brothers Charles (Sandra), Little Narrows, Gordie (Jean), Aberdeen, Ray, Inverness; brother in laws Charles (Jessie) MacKinnon, Little Narrows, Fredrick (Mary) MacKinnon, Ashfield, Angus MacKay, Little Narrows; sister in laws Christina MacCalder, Orangedale, Betty Robbins, North Bay, Ont.; special cousin Sally (Bonaparte) Craig, several other cousins; 31 nieces and nephews, 35 grand nieces and nephews, 3 great-grand nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Dan Hughie MacKinnon, sisters Elizabeth “Betty” MacKay, Mary Anne Sarah in infancy, brothers John Malcolm Ellis and Charles Raymond Ellis in infancy, and nephew Gary Ellis. Visitation will be held 2-9pm today (Monday) in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Tuesday at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Donovan officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Stewartdale Cemetery Fund.
