Robert Wilson "Bobby" MUNRO Whycocomagh Born June 5, 1934 and died September 12, 2021. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, Bobby Munro on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Whycocomagh, he was the youngest son of the late Jack and Jessie (MacSween) Munro. Bobby is survived by his daughter, Connie; grandchildren, Robbie, Heidi (Matthew), Marissa (Abhishek), Erin (Mike); great-granddaughter, Hannah; brother, Stewart. Bobby was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Norma; son, Gregory; brothers, Alcorn, Donnie and George; sisters, Lorraine, Jean and Ruth. In his younger years, Bobby would travel door to door selling for A.A. Munro Insurance. Where he would become known, for his sense of humour and kindness. He and his wife Norma proudly opened their restaurant "Norma’s Diner" in the early 1980’s and became famous for the Sunday buffets and Bobby’s biscuits. Bobby was a dedicated member of Stewart United Church and loved to plant a garden and in his later years spent his time tending to his plants, mowing his lawn and taking care of his son and wife. Bobby had a huge heart and always thought of others before himself. He loved a good hot cup of tea, fiddle music, watching his game shows and the news. He had an unwavering love for his family and taking over the father role to three of his grandchildren when they were a young age. Special thanks to Dr. Ritter, Dr. Egar, Laurie Ann and Lindsay and special friends, Jerry and Elise for all their care and concern over the past 3 months. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, from 3-8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Sept 17 in Stewartdale Cemetery, with Jennifer Billard officiating.
