McNamara, Craig Peter Joseph - 27, Martinique, Richmond County, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Halifax Infirmary as a result of a Construction Accident. Craig was born in Antigonish, NS. Survived by his mother Rose Marie (DeYoung) and father Hughie McNamara, Martinique, two sisters, Alicia and Debbie Martel, brother- in- law Jamie and two nephews Brett and Brayden whom he truly adored. Also survived by his maternal grandmother Priscilla "Griz" DeYoung; paternal grandmother Sarah McNamara; uncles, Paul (Gloria), Robert, godfather Francis (David), Godmother Brenda Wright; cousins, Matthew, Meagan, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Tara, and Jared. Craig shared many memories with extended family and many, many close friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Peter DeYoung and paternal grandfather Ted McNamara. Anyone who knew Craig knew that he lived life to the fullest everyday. He cherished his family and friends especially his two nephews whom he bragged about all the time. He was the life of any party with a smile that would light up any room he walked into. He didn’t only have a smile that could light up a room, but a personality that could make anyone laugh and loved being the centre of attention. He was a ladies man with many hugs and kisses for all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and biking. He was a fun-loving spirit with a love of all things adventurous, fast cars, big toys and good times. Craig could be often heard saying “Havin’ a time” and that he did. As Craig’s family mourns his loss they take pride in knowing that he has made a difference for others as he was an organ donor. His generous gifts will live on and he will continue to touch the lives of others. A treasured son, loving brother, fantastic uncle, and an awesome friend. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. He will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Barrett Claire-Johnson officiating. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Whiteside. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com “Love like you've never been hurt Sing as if no one was listening Dance like no one was watching And live each day as if it were your last.” Service Information Service Date Tuesday, November 24, 2009
