MUNROE, Mary Kathleen – 85, Little Dover, Guysborough, Co., Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 15, 2009, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family and friends. Kathleen was born in Little Dover, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Boudreau) Sampson. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of St. Agnes Church, Little Dover. She was also a member of the Shamrock Club in Canso. She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 65 years, and children, Eldon (Loretta), Margie (Ronnie),Merle (Ann Marie), Mike, Dave, Paul, Paulette(Kenny), Cliff (Roberta) and Dale (Shelly);15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Clarissa (Al Hilliker), South Carolina; brothers, Bernard (Cecile), Little Dover, Danny (Alice), River Bourgeois; sisters-in-law, Leona Sampson and Shirley Sampson; brothers-in-law, Raymond Boudreau and Richard Moore, also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son in infancy, sisters, Dorothy, Ida, Marguerite, brothers, Elsworth and Percy. The family at this time would like to express a very special and deep appreciation and thank you to the staff of Eastern Memorial Hospital, for the excellent, tender and loving care shown to our mother. We will never forget them. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. No flowers by request. Memorial donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to St. Agnes Building Fund or a charity of choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
