MacEachen, Florence Marie … 87, Port Hood, passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Harbourview, Marie was the daughter of Late Christy Ann (BEATON) and Angus A. MacEachen of Harbourview, Port Hood. She is survived by her elder brother Finlay, St. Catharines On.; younger sister Jean Pritchard, Toronto and predeceased by eldest brother Jerome, Harbourview. Marie is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Gary, Deborah (Parkes), Leilia (Pausey) and Greg Pritchard, also Tom, John, Chris and Karen MacEachern and Grand nieces and nephews, Sally, Willie, Libby, Sean, Ryan, Beatrix, Christabelle, Myles and Colin, all of Ontario. To all those who wrote and send greetings and visited with Marie over the years, our grateful acknowledgment. Before her illness Marie worked as a caregiver in New York and Buffalo .An avid follower of current events, she is remembered for her quick wit and love of family. A devout person all her life, her faith carried her through her 87 years. Many thanks to all the staff at Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Your Kindness and attention was greatly appreciated by her family. Special mention to Morag Graham and Margie Holder who did so very much to help and comfort dear Marie in her last days. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Port Hood Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Father Victor Ozousanya officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made be made St. Peters Cemetery Fund.
