O'CONNOR, Helen Gertrude — 76, North Riverside, Boylston, Guysborough Co., died Friday, August 28, 2009, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Steep Creek, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late John and Eva (Smith) Scott. Helen was a rural route courier for Canada Post (Boylston). She is survived by daughters, Betty Ann O'Connor (Roger Avery), Guysborough; Bonnie O'Connor, Ottawa, Ont.; June (Dan) O'Halloran, Brampton, Ont.; sons, Gary (Olive), Clarenville, N.L.; Glen (Colleen), Port Hood; Pat, Ont.; sisters, Eva Claire Ridgeway, Dartmouth; Blanche Foss, Boston, Mass.; brothers, Carman (Carol), Shelburne, Ont.; Les (Vivian), Guysborough; sisters-in-law, Irene Scott, Boylston; Vera Scott, New York, USA; Ruth Scott, Guysborough; 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, William; son, Kenneth Scott; granddaughter, Angela Pippet; sisters, Hattie Hartling, and Betty George; brothers, Chester, Sam and Johnny. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wesley United Church, Guysborough with Rev.
