O'CONNOR, William David "Bill" - 76, North Riverside, Guysborough Co., died Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of the late Guy and Catherine (Cunningham) O'Connor. Bill was a retired serviceman serving with the 1st Battalion Black Watch . He was a member of St. Ann's Parish, Guysborough, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 81, Guysborough. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen (Scott); daughters, June (Dan) O'Halloran, Brampton, Ont.; Betty Ann O'Connor (Roger Avery), Guysborough; Bonnie (John) Kaczmarek, Ottawa, Ont.; sons, Gary (Olive), Clarenville, N.L.; Guy "Pat", Mississauga, Ont.; Glen (Colleen), Port Hood; brothers, Charlie, Guysborough; Lawrence (Lorraine), Oshawa, Ont.; Bud (Delores), Truro; 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Kenneth Scott; granddaughter, Angela; sisters, Hilda Fraser, Veronica Maher, Anna Reynolds; brothers, Francis, James, Kenneth, Lawrence, Louis, and Raphael. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday in St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
