REYNOLDS, Dougalenes Irene “Dougie”- 84, Port Hawkesbury, died Sunday, October 07, 2007 in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Christena “Tena” (MacCormack) MacDonald. In her younger years Dougie was employed with Arcless Switch, Newton, Mass. After moving home she was employed as a house keeper by Stella Maris Parish, Creignish for many years prior to her retirement. Dougie was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury. She is survived by her sister Jean Morrison, Sydney; brother D.D., Crystal Beach, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Hughie John and Frank. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm with a Vigil Service at 8:30pm both in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be held 11am Wednesday, October, 10 in St. Joseph’s Church with Fr. Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home or to St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fund. The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding care provided to Dougie by the entire staff of the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home over the past five years.
