RICHARDSON, Brantford Douglas - 82, Canso, died Monday, September 24, 2007, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Hazel Hill, he was a son of the late Frederick and Laura (Greencorn) Richardson. Brantford was an inshore fisherman for many years. Following this, he worked at the Canso Fish Plant as a labourer and security guard until his retirement. He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Canso, and a member of the former IOOF Lodge, Canso. He is survived by stepchildren, Mary (Ross) Swaine, Nora (Ernie) Martin, George (Jean) Schrader, all of Canso; sister-in-law, Jean Richardson, Canso; several nieces and nephews, several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Amanda (Schrader) Richardson; brothers, Purvis, Floyd, Everett; stepson, Herman Schrader (Sudbury, Ont.). There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in All Saints Anglican Church with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery.
