Snyder, Allan Seward – 91, Dort's Cove, Guysborough Co., died Sunday, December 28, 2008, at home. Born in Peas Brook, he was a son of the late John and Jerusha (George) Snyder. Allan worked various jobs in the forestry industry and a member of St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. He is survived by his sister Viola Snyder, Queensport; several nieces and nephews; brother in law Elliott (Linda) Atkins; sister in law Genesta Atkins; He was predeceased by wife Edith (Atkins) Snyder; brothers, Albert, Charles and William; sisters, Elizabeth and Amanda; companion and best friend of 20 years Goldie Grover . There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove, Rev. Dennis Hayward officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Donations in memory of Allan may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital, St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove or a charity of your choice.
