LEVANGIE, Abby Marthell … 74- It is with great sadness the family of Abby Levangie of Little Dover, Guysborough Co. announce her sudden passing on Monday, November 12, 2007 in New Glasgow. Born in Lundy, Guys. Co., she was a daughter of the late Anthoney and Amelia (Richard) Avery, formerly of Lundy. Abby was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover. She is survived by daughters Donna (Rod) Horne, Jenny (Gerald) Keefe, Julie Ann (Earl Myatt), all of Little Dover; granddaughters Jessica, Hannah and Claire; sisters Mary DeCoste, New Glasgow, whom she spent quite some time with in the last few years, Mildred Sanford, Guysborough, Ethel (Henry) Avery, Guysborough; brother Doug, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Levangie, sisters Margaret, Helen, Clara, Garnet, brothers Mike, Irvin, John, Andrew, Wilson and a granddaughter, Tracey-Lynn. The biggest joy of her lifetime were her three granddaughters who always brought a smile to her face. Abby’s true passions were berry picking, her knitting needles and spending the summer months in her home in Lundy. She will also be sadly missed by her long time friends Theresa and Clarence Keefe, who she visited every night while in Little Dover. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Friday 2-9pm in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Saturday at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
