Andrews, Ralph Edward, 67 - Boylston, Guysborough Co. Today we announce the loss of our beloved brother and uncle. Ralph passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, July 11, 2011 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish with his family by his side.
Ralph was born in Manchester, January 27, 1944 to the late James Osbourne and Mary Stella (Wilcox) Andrews. Ralph was a gentle, kind-hearted soul who had a smile for everyone who came to visit and always asked how everybody was doing. The teapot was always on! He was especially fond of his dog, Gail, who faithfully followed him through the fields and woods on their many walks together. Ralph leaves behind to remember him fondly, sisters, Myrtle (Lou) Baxter, Brighton, Ont.; Evelyn MacDonald and Elsie (Ralph) Kelly both of Antigonish; brother, Lindsay, Boylston; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Florence, Hazel, Edith and Eva, brother, Harvey and sister-in-law, Elaine Andrews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Boylston United Church with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Ralph will be cremated following the service, with burial in his parents’ plot in Boylston United Church Cemetery at a later date.
