AIKENS, Charles - 68, Roman Valley, Guysborough Co., died Friday, September 30, 2005, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Roman Valley, he was a son of the late Robert and Annie (Boutilier) Aikens. Charles was a labourer employed with a foundry in Oakville, Ont., for 30 years before returning home in 1991. He was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Guysborough Intervale. Surviving are his sister, Catherine McNutt, Mississauga, Ont.; sister-in-law, Gloria Aikens, Collingwood, Ont.; brother, George (Rosalia), Mississauga, Ont.; niece, Kathy; nephews, Robert, Todd, Billy, Robert, and Trevor. He was predeceased by brothers, Bill, Jim; sisters, Marcella and Lena. Visitation was held Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. today in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
