Katherine and Dannie - I was so sorry to hear of Katherine's Momma's passing. We so wish we could keep them forever. One of the hardest things in life is losing a parent. She sounds like she had a life well lived!!! I image her work with genealogy was very rewarding to her and the work she did searching out her family tree will fill in a lot of blanks for generations to come. As I read Mary's obituary this morning I was very sad but I was also filled with gratitude that I knew this lovely, generous lady. She was so quick and full of knowledge and I to this day have been grateful for the help she provided in our search for the "illusive" Donald Mac Donald. Through her I met cousins, explored the homes of my ancestors and met you , her family for whom she was so proud. I will be always grateful to her. Please accept my sincere sympathies for the loss of dear Mary. Love to all, Joyce.

My sincere sympathy to Mary's family and friends on your loss. I had the privilege of interviewing Mary on behalf of the Gaelic College back in 2017. She shared many great stories and Gaelic expressions and was so interested in preserving the language and culture. I have great admiration for her and am grateful to have met her.

My sincere condolences to Mary's children,grand children and gt.grandchildren. Mary was raised in the old Gaelic tradition and those lessons stayed with her forever. She and a tremendous community historian. She loved to hear and to tell a good story. She was a joy to talk with on many subjects. Considering the changes over the past 100 years I feel that we will never see her like again.

I am so very sorry for your loss Malcolm, Elizabeth, Kenny, Katherine and Danny and your families. Mary was one of kind, such a great friend to Mom, always there for each other. She was a big part of my life growing up and so full of knowledge on our drives to church and Sunday school. She will certainly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and hearing the wealth of information she held about the history of the area and much more. May she rest peacefully.

To Katherine and family, Sending deepest condolences to you at this time.I was so sorry to hear about your mom's passing as she was so close to celebrating her 100th birthday. But, she did indeed have a full life to celebrate.I remember how Katherine would talk about her mom and dad in a very quiet manner, admired and loved. I know you will hold your memories dearly.
