MACISAAC, Angus Alexander, Age 84 of Port Hawkesbury formerly of Creignish – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angus MacIsaac; beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and a wonderful friend on Monday, January 17, 2022 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Angus was born in Inverness to the late Willie and Mina (MacDonald) MacIsaac of St. Ninian, Inverness County. Angus worked on his dad’s farm in St. Ninian as a young boy and loved every day on the farm. In later years he worked in the mines in Ontario, then he came back to Cape Breton where he got a job as an electrician for 34 years. Angus was a member of the Men’s Club in Creignish for many years. Angus and Carm moved to Port Hawkesbury 20 years ago and he loved every day they were here. He was a member of the Evergreen Club, a member of Cape Nova Council Knights of Columbus and a life member of the Union Local 972. Angus leaves to mourn his wife, Carmilita (MacNeil) who loves him so much and will who miss him forever; his son, Ashley MacIsaac, Windsor, ON; daughters, Lisa MacIsaac, Toronto, ON; Lisa (Rod) Hayward, Vancouver Island; grandkids, Maddie and Dylan Snow who were his pride and joy (when they would come to see him he was the happiest man in town); and his daughter-in-law, Carla Snow, who he loved like a daughter. Angus is also survived by sisters, Edna Suitor, Port Hawkesbury; Catherine (Bill) MacGillivary, Afton; Claire (Charlie) MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury; Grace (Mike) Tapics, London, ON; Lillian (Cecil) Dunlap, Truro; Monica (George) Goodall, Port Hood; Martha (Richard) Gillis, Port Hood; brothers, Donald, Creignish; Willie (Louise), Little Judique; Byron (Gerri), Dartmouth; Allan (Mariss), Stephenville, NL; Robert (Sadia), Port Hood; many nieces and nephews. Angus was predeceased by sisters, Mary Florence Beaton, Theresa Gillis; brother, Donald Francis; son, Henry Snow who he loved and missed everyday; sisters-in-law, Heather MacEachern and Geraldine MacIsaac; brothers-in-law, John Suitor, Angus Beaton, Nick Frenks; nephews, Blaise Gillis, Glen MacIsaac, Blaise MacInnis and Brad Tait; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Delina and Benny MacNeil; brothers-in-law, Murray MacNeil, Charles MacNeil, Foster MacNeil. There will be no visitation a funeral service will take place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022. Burial to take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in Memory of Angus to a charity of one’s choice.
