Francis was one of the kindest and warmest individuals I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. Going into the school office as a non-regular employee, Francis was always welcoming and greeted everyone with a smile.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your Mother! Frances and I were on staff at SAERC for many years! She was always a patient and steady force in an environment that was often quite chaotic! She was so generous and kind! Immeasurably helpful to me and each of my children when they attended SAERC! I am deeply, deeper sorry for your loss!

Girls, I was so very sad to hear of your Moms death. She was such a beautiful lady... heart of gold. Had lots of great memories with her when she worked at the school and Doug was a student. Also wherever we would meet we always found something to chat about. Remember meeting her last summer at her daughters restaurant in Port Hood and later in the fall at Sobeys. So hard to find some normal today with the virus happening. Please know I am thinking of you girls and your families sending hugs and prayers.

Patricia, and all of your family. My deepest sympathies on the death of your mom. Her obituary captures the person she was and how you all adored and loved her and she you. Her loss will be immense and your hearts so sad with the void left behind. I think of you each time I pass through Port Hood and remember our working days at St. Marthas in PCU and the distance you travelled to come work with us and how so enjoyed working with you. Take care and I will remember you all in my thoughts and prayers. Frances

May time ease the pain but not erase the memories. I'm sorry to be so late in sending my condolences. I got to know your mother when she worked for the Port Hastings Historical Society in the 1980's and then when she and Pamela joined us in the choir. I was really shocked when I heard this sad news. Take care.

My sincere sympathy to you all in your great loss. I first met your parents when I worked as a secretary at CRVS in the 1970's. Frances had a beautiful smile that lit up her eyes that first time and the last time I met her at the Gift Shop in Port Hood. She never changed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

To the McEwan family, Heaven has gain another Angel that's for sure as your mother always had her best interest for staff and students. When you mentioned the look your mother would give I laughed. That look was caught a few times. Her love of learning new things on the computer gave me a chance to put my work down and help teach her, because she was always willing to give anyone a hand. When she retired I had given her a special gift that consisted of little things but when she visit she let me know she kept it safe. Your mom was special and she will be deeply missed. God sent for an angel and he got one of the best. God Bless. Student support worker Sabrina Skinner

Dear Karen, Trish, Jaylene and Pamela, My heart goes out to you and your families - please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your mom. Although I hadn't seen Aunt Frances in just over 20 years, I was fortunate to reconnect with her via Facebook - and I enjoyed exchanging messages and catching up. I'll always remember Aunt Frances for her kind, quiet demeanour, good sense of humour, and that beautiful head of blonde hair. I hope all of the wonderful memories you have of your mom will bring you comfort in the days and years to come. With love, Nadine Beaumaster (McEwan)
