Calder, Carol Marie – Sydney. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Marie Calder on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the age of 68 in the An Cala Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Ross) Calder. Carol was a proud life time member of A.A. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her son, Christian Nichol; Sydney; grandchildren, Kayden, Nayara, Samantha all of Sydney; sisters, Jean Landry, St. George’s Channel; Norma (Cecil) Skinner, Halifax; brothers, Donald (Phyllis), Durham, Pictou County; Jackie (Angela), Sydney; Ross (Marion), Stellarton; Robert (Connie), St. George’s Channel; aunts, uncle and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law, Everett Landry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, from 2-8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 10 from Black River United Church with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Family flowers only please. Burial to follow in MacKay Cemetery, St. George’s Channel.
