BREAU, John Joseph "Johnny" – Age 61, St. Peter’s. We the family of John "Johnny" Breau regret to announce the death of our beloved son, brother and uncle which occurred suddenly at home on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Born to Annie (Collet) Breau and the late Laurie Breau on December 22, 1957, in Hay Cove, Richmond Co.
Johnny worked up North for many years, helping with the building of ice roads in Tuktoyatuk, NWT, something he talked about often. Johnny was a very hard worker, who was always there for his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Annie, St. Peter’s; sister, Diana, Granston; brothers, Georgie, Clemancy, NL; Bobby (Elsie), Port Hawkesbury; Larry (Charmaine), Sampsonville; nieces, Amanda, Dayna, Tara; nephew and godson, Thaddeus, Brian; great niece, MacKenzie; great nephew, Callen, who he thought the world of. He was also godfather to Raymond MacDonald; as well as aunts and uncles, to many to name. He was predeceased by his father, Laurie; brother, David; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown with Father John Yake officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, St. Peter’s.
