Alexander was a caring, compassionate, true gentleman. He was a town cop in Mulgrave many years ago and eventually moved on to spend many years working for CNR where he later retired. He was a life time member of the Kinsmen club of Canada, an honour he was proud of, and thought of as his second family. His hobbies and interests included baseball, helping others, road trips with his grandchildren and Cape Breton music. His door was always opened to many who referred to him as Grampie.
