LEVANGIE, James Clement, age 80 of Sebring, Florida. Passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Sebring. He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on March 23, 1939 to the late Curtis T. and Emelie A. (Proctor) LeVangie.
He was a veteran of the US Navy from 1957 to 1982, US Naval Reserves (Ready) to Midshipman to Officer through Lieutenant Commander. James was a Technical Consultant and Computer Database Engineer working for Booz Allen & Hamilton in Washington, D.C. 1982-1990 then he worked for Computers Systems Center, Inc in Springfield, Virginia 1990-2000. He moved to Sebring in 2000 from Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
He is survived by his Canadian family; Aunt Kathleen Proctor , MacIntyre Lake; cousins of the Morgan Family, John James Jr. (Shirley), Terry (Colleen), Austin (Eileen), Lester, Brian (Leanne); cousins of the Proctor Family, Bernie (Sandi); Ronnie (Margie deceased); Steve; Allan (Marilyn); Patsy Mooring (Sonny deceased); Mary (Angus MacDonald); Elaine ; Dianne Hunt (Randy); Sandra MacInnis (Dennis) ; numerous LeVangie family living in Canada and the USA, Longtime Special Friends, Donna Anderson of Sebring, Carol Rynarzewski of Maryland along with many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; cousins, Edwin James and Joanne Proctor, Carroll Morgan and Anne Marie Felix, numerous Aunts and Uncles.
A memorial gathering will take place on Monday, October 7, from 5-8 p.m. in John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis, Maryland, USA. The memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. in the United States Naval Academy Chapel, St. Andrew's Chapel, United States Naval Academy Annapolis, Maryland 21402.
