LeBlanc, Francis Joseph – Port Hawkesbury. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish after a short battle with cancer. Francis was born in Arichat; he was a son of Gustave and Mary LeBlanc and a foster son to Ernest and Tillie LeBrun of Cheticamp. Francis leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Ann (Rudolph), son, Darrell and grandson, Landon John Francis; sisters, Joanne (Steve), England; Dorothy (Baynes), Toronto; Helen (Vince), Reserve Mines; brother, Richie (Geralda), Cleveland; foster brother, Joseph (Sylvia), Cheticamp and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustave and Mary LeBlanc; foster parents, Ernest and Tillie LeBrun, foster brother, Hector (Corrine). Francis worked for the Strait Richmond School Board for over 30 years. Francis will always be remembered for his humor, kindness and his love of country music. Francis you’ve left footprints on our hearts, you will forever be loved and missed. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4 from 2-4 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
