Chiavari, Mary Christine "Chris" – of Port Hawkesbury. Mary "Chris" Chiavari passed peacefully away in the Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the age of 88. Chris was a kind, spiritual person, who always liked to have a laugh, dancing and doing things to make people happy. She will be greatly missed by all her friends. She is survived by her son, Darrell (Cheryl), Port Hawkesbury; sisters, Shirley (John), Bras d’Or and Nellie, Florence. She will be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Amber –Lee, Kimberly and Christopher George. Chris was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Daniel "Sonny". Chris’s family would like to thank the staff at the Richmond Villa, the Dialysis Unit at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Dr. Collins and Dr. Hewlett for all the compassion and care given to her for the last few years. As per Chris’ wishes, cremation has taken place and she asked that there be no visitation or funeral mass, just a graveside service at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Chris may be made to Strait Richmond Dialysis Unit, The Richmond Villa or The Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia.
