If you have ever attended a Farmers Market in Eastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island you may have met a very pleasant lady with striking blue eyes who sold "A1 Cape Breton Sausages" and always had a kind word and a cheerful smile for everyone. Her name was Sibylle Buschmann; she was born Dec. 15, 1959, in Hamburg, Germany and joined her husband Peter here in Canada in 2005. She had many skills including baking, office management, accounting and farming. Unfortunately, Sybille lost her hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, October 14th in the Strait Richmond Hospital, surrounded by her husband Peter, dear friends, Maia Landriault and Jeana Wyre MacRae, who gave her the finest care and love. Sibylles' family included her mother, Irmgard, sister, Maike, brother, Dirk, daughter, Jaqueline Friedrich and son, Mario Friedrich, as well as step-children, Alexander and Tanja Buschmann. Together they have 7 grandchildren, Justin, Marvin, Lisa, Jamie, Nala, Mia, and Marie. Sibylles' wake will be held in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury on Friday October 26th from 5 to 7:30 p.mm followed by a short memorial service by family friend the Rev'd Louis Ihaaz.
