MATHESON, Patricia Catherine – Age 57, Little Narrows, Victoria Co., passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, in the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Baddeck, she was a daughter of the late Annie Matheson and Peter Nicholson. Patricia worked for the Dept. of Transportation as Captain on the Little Narrows Ferry for a number of years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and camping. Surviving are her sister, Catherine (Leonard) MacLeod, Whycocomagh; brothers, Johnny Nicholson, Sydney; twin brother, Bobby (Debbie) Matheson, North Sydney; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Roderick Matheson and Bert Nicholson. The family would like to extend many thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Victoria County Memorial Hospital as well as Palliative Care, Dr. John Ritter, Cathy MacMillan, Home Support Staff and also to Cape Breton Cancer Centre. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Little Narrows Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
