LANDRY, IAN ROBERT AZAD - Age 84. The passing of Ian Robert Azad Landry, of Fredericton and formerly of Port Hawkesbury, husband of Corrine (MacLean) Landry, occurred on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Bathurst, NB on January 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Catherine (Howard) Landry.
Ian worked with Stora Enso in Port Hawkesbury and retired after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury for many decades and of late he was a member of St. Dunstan’s, Fredericton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Heather (Graham) Dooks, Cole Harbour; Kim (James) Rogers, North Sydney; son, Ian Tay (Kimberley) Landry, Eastern Passage; step-children; Charlene (Jamie) Chase, Fredericton; Brent (Robyn) McGovern, Rothesay; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Nora (LaPointe) Landry; brothers, Eugene, Roger (Simmone), Bathurst; Vernon (Vilma) Fredericton; Howard, Toronto and Azade (Diana), Fredericton.
Although there will be no visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment will take place following the service in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Cemetery Fund or Capital Budget, the St. Dunstan’s Cemetery Fund or the Arthritis Society. Personal condolences may be offered through: www.haverstocks.com
