Bonaparte, Brian Abraham - "VA1BAB", Age 51 years of McKinnon’s Harbour, Victoria County passed away at home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Brian was born in Baddeck; he was a son of the late Abraham "Abe" and Catherine (MacNeil) Bonaparte.
He was a member of St. Columba Parish, Iona, and an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Brian was a passionate Amateur Radio operator his call sign was "VA1BAB". He was a former employee of Little Narrows Gypsum. Brian is survived by his sisters, Lucy (David) Muise, Lingan; half-sister, Cathy (Spiro) Hirdaris, Halifax; brothers, John (Donna) and Daniel "D.A." (Donna) all of McKinnon’s Harbour; Charles, Iona; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby Abbie.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 in Sacred Heart Cemetery, McKinnon’s Harbour with Father Hughie MacNeil officiating. Memorial donations in memory of Brian may be made to a charity of your choice.
