MacISAAC, Geraldine - age 69, Halifax and formerly of Creignish, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018. It's with heavy hearts we announce the death of Geraldine (Campbell) MacIsaac after a brief struggle with cancer. Survived by her loving sister, Jeanette Kiley (Kevin); daughter, Wendy (Stephen Moore); son, Stephen (Stephanie Graham-MacIsaac); her former husband, Donald and grandchildren, Angus, Calum, Finn and Charlie whom she adored. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald Angus and Hughena Campbell and her two sons, Glen and Blaise, her guardian angels who she will now be with. Geraldine grew up in Glencoe Mills and loved all the animals that were on the farm. She always enjoyed when her cousins would visit from New Waterford and "The States." She was incredibly musical and a very good step dancer who performed and used to teach in some of the community halls with Wendy and Stephen in tow picking up what they could. She worked at the mill in Point Tupper and raised her family in Creignish. The house was always open to friends and family stopping in for visits and there was always laughter. Her quick wit and sense of humour was loved by everyone who met her, even her nurses and doctors in her last hours. That will be missed the most along with her ability to love so easily. In the last 13 years Geraldine lived in Halifax and could navigate her way around the city like she lived there forever. Geraldine had a great deal of friends who will no doubt miss her dearly. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish with Father Bernie MacDonald and Father Allan MacMillan officiating.
