Please share a memory of Arlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LeBlanc (McNamara), Arlene Faith - Age 59, of Lower River Inhabitants, Richmond County, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Known for her gentle nod and warm smile, Arlene’s soft-spoken nature will be remembered by many. She brightened every room with her class, quick wit and contagious laughter – something that could be found at the end of a good joke or a funny story. Her considerate demeanor and generosity touched the lives of those lucky enough to be in her life, as she could always be counted on to take an interest in others with thoughtful questions. From Sunday drives to shopping trips, Arlene was the first to say yes to an adventure. She filled her days doing what she loved with those she loved and made a lasting impression on colleagues and clients in her 29 years with Bell Aliant. Her active lifestyle took her many places, such as biking and cross-country skiing the island, with anyone that could keep up. Arlene will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Ernie McNamara, her parents with whom she gave great dedication, Chester and Muriel (Dawe) LeBlanc, her brother, Pascal LeBlanc, her fur-baby, Chloe, her extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary (Ron) Hutchins, Sheila (Allan Joe) Malcolm, Noreen (Jim) Russell, Paul (Carolyn) McNamara, Austin (Sharon) McNamara, Marie (Pat DeCoste) Burke, Germaine Boucher, Lorraine (Dave) Stewart, Kathleen (Barry) MacMaster, her Godchildren, Robbie MacMaster and Renee Boucher, many nieces and nephews, and her campground and Bell Aliant families. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Russell Boucher and Mark Burke. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Joe MacKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
