BLAGDON, Myrtle "Midge" Lavinia Carrie. A woman of great strength, heart and spirit has passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the age of 68 surrounded by her family. She was the youngest daughter of eight, born to the late Roland and Myrtle (Crittenden) Mooring and was a lifelong resident of Mulgrave. Midge is survived by her son, Sam (Charlene), Mulgrave; daughters, Sandy (Lisa Thornhill), Hinton, AB; Mandy (Cory Frampton), Stony Plain, AB; loving Nan to Clayton and Deanne Blagdon and Keegan and Myles Frampton. Left to mourn are her dear sisters, Jackie (Horace) Welsh, Joyce (Donald) Malcolm, Joan (Walter) Crant; brother, John (Laureen) Mooring; sisters-in-law, Patsy Mooring, Madonna Mooring; aunt, Joan (Mooring) MacKenzie and many cousins. Fun loving aunt too many nieces and nephews across Canada who will remember her zest for life. Besides her parents, Midge was predeceased by her sister, Verna Jean; brothers, Ralston "Sonny", Roland "Butchie" and nephew, Harvey Malcolm. The family is forever grateful for the palliative care services provided by Dr. Cooper, Nurse Paula and all the medical personnel who helped with her fight over the past seven years.. Heartfelt thank you to her three sisters who never left her side and sister Joan and family, for their compassionate care that provided Midge with the quiet comfort to live her final days at home with family support. Cremation has taken place as per Midge’s request. Family and friends will gather for memories in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place from 3-7 p.m. on Friday. There will be a private burial in St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Midge’s memory can be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave or to the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place.
