Boutilier, Ingrid - River Bourgeois. The family of Ingrid Boutilier regret to announce her sudden passing on Saturday, March 30, 2019 due to complications from surgery in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Ingrid was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helena Thresh. She is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter Morgan; sister-in-law, Eileen (Russell) Clarke; brother, Stephan (Jean) Thresh, England. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Dieter Thresh.
Ingrid immigrated to Canada at the age of nine, and spent her earlier years in St. John’s, Newfoundland before moving to Halifax and Vancouver to work in the graphic arts industry. Ingrid and Gordon operated Blooms and Bushes Greenhouses in Westmount for the better part of thirty years before retiring in River Bourgeois. Ingrid gained a following of devoted customers, and was always there to offer advice. Travelling was one of Ingrid’s passions, and involved a number of visits to Europe and the Caribbean.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital for their care and compassion. A community gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 3 between 3-6 p.m. in the Tara Lynne Center, Recreation Rd., River Bourgeois.
