BEESON, Sadie Effie – Age 80, Blues Mills, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018, in the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck, surrounded by her four daughters. Born in Jubilee, Victoria Co., on January 17, 1938, she was the youngest daughter of the late Dan K. and Robena (MacDonald) Ross. Mom was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh and was a 50 year member of O.E.S. Celtic Star Chapter 19, Blues Mills. For a number of years Mom worked as a clerk at Matheson Store, Little Narrows, where many friendships were made. She was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan to the very end. Her most cherished times were spent with her children and grandchildren. There was never a complaint from her and she always saw the best in everyone. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carol Ann (Titus) Campbell, Strathlorne; Connie (Curtis) MacAulay, Aberdeen; Donna Constantine, Blues Mills; Lynn, Blues Mills; grandchildren, Kyle and Todd Constantine, Ryan and Shelby MacAulay, Tiffany Lynn Campbell; son-in-law, Bill Constantine; sisters, Jennie MacLean, Anna Matheson, both of Little Narrows; Marion MacRae, Middle River; also a niece and several nephews. Sadie was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Dan Hughie; brother, Malcolm "Buddy". Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. with Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Stewartdale Cemetery. No flowers by request. The family would appreciate donations in Sadie’s memory be made to Victoria County Hospice Society or to Stewartdale Cemetery.
