BERRETTE, Alexander Daniel "Donnie" Brighteyes – 35, Carstairs, AB, formerly of Lower L’Ardoise, died Monday, August 8, 2011 in Carstairs. Born in Sydney, he was raised in Lower L’Ardoise by his grandparents, the late Dan and Sarah Berrette. Donnie was a loving brother and a caring friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a talented artist and writer. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Tina (Jamie) Madden, Port Hawkesbury; as well as his many friends across the country, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his biological parents, Donnie Berrette and L. Brighteyes. He was predeceased by his aunt, Viola MacIntosh. Visitation will be on Friday, August 26, from 2-9 p.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Funeral Home, L’Ardoise; Funeral mass will be offered 11 a.m. Saturday, August 27, from Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, L’Ardoise with Rev. Mariadoss Lourdusamy officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
