BURKE, Sharon E. - 61, Sampsonville, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sampsonville I was a daughter of George and Genevieve (Sampson) Carter, Sampsonville. I was a paramedic for 30 years but the highlight of my accomplishments was getting my Funeral Directors License in 2004 under Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes Ltd., Port Hawkesbury. I leave my special friend, John; sons, Clint (Dottie), Brooks, Alta.; Duane (Jenna), Sydney; grandsons, Taylor, Chapel Island and Donovan, Rothesay, N.B.; sisters, Sylvia (Ken) Gray, Saint John, N.B.; Georda (Richie) Boyd, Maureen (Leonard) Whitty, Gail (George) Landry,all of Sampsonville; Glenda (David) Sampson, River Bourgeois; Cheryl (Donny) Richards; Hammonds Plains; brothers, George, Carstairs, Alta.; Clifford (Debbie), who is like a sister to me, Byron (Jamie), Sampsonville; Clayton (Cathy), Lower Sackville; Darren (Gloria), Sampsonville; many aunts and uncles; my special aunt, Lila; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. I was predeceased by my husband, Billy; son, Nelson; granddaughter, Tiffany in infancy; brother, Carl in infancy.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 26 Centennial St., St. Peters. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peters, Father Everett MacDow officiating, burial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Nelson Burke Memorial Bursary Fund (a bursary fund which gives one $1500.00 or two, $750.00 bursaries to a needy student or students each year) or Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
