Please share a memory of Kazimierz to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BAGINSKI, Kazimierz J., “Kaz” - 78, Port Hawkesbury, formerly of Woodbridge and Etobicoke, Ont., passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. He was born on March 4, 1929, in Rupcowo, Poland, one of five children of the late Walter and Josephine (Pawloski) Baginski.
At the outset of the Second World War, the invading Russian communists took the family’s home and deported them to Siberia and other countries. In 1949 they emigrated from Beirut, Lebanon, to Canada. In his earlier years, Kaz enjoyed fishing weekends with his father and brothers. He could turn his hand to many things and enjoyed gardening and outdoor work. Kaz worked first in the construction industry, then for Para Paints for 25 years until his retirement. He is survived by his sister, Regina (Hubert) Antolic, Caledon, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Lenora Baginski, Acton, Ont.; Penny Baginski, Brampton, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tadeusz "Ted", Raymond and Mario. Kaz will be remembered as a kind and generous person, helpful to all, with a sense of humour. He will be missed by the Ball family of Woodbridge, Ont., with whom he made his home for many years; companion and caregiver, Marilyn (Ball) O’Halloran, Sand Point, formerly of Woodbridge and Etobicoke, Ont., and her family; friends in Ontario and Nova Scotia.
There will be no visitation. A private service will be held with Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial will be in Nova Scotia at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
