DeMone (Hebb), Maizie Christine - Age 91 of St. Peter’s, Richmond Co. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, sister, grandmother and aunt in the Richmond Villa on Thursday, September 14, 2017at the age of 91. Born in Bridgewater on December 11, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Freda Hebb. Upon her graduation from Bridgewater High she obtained her accounting and Secretarial courses from the Bridgewater Commercial School. She then began many years of office work, most notably with Hebb Motors, G. Royce Hefler Ltd., and Dominion Caulking. A very diligent and dedicated employee, she was an asset to all her employers. She loved a good game of Scrabble and no crossword puzzle could stump her, even if it took her days to complete. A wonderful homemaker and cook, she was well known for her pickles and jam. Also she was a lover of all four legged creatures’ and nature in general. She is survived by her daughter, Heather LeBlanc (Hector Caul), Halifax; son, Danny (Maureen), Sugar Camp, Inverness Co.; grandchildren, Danielle and Adam LeBlanc; Conor, Patrick and Samuel DeMone. She is also survived by her last sibling, Barbara (Ginger) Adams, Dartmouth; Maizie was one of 12 children born to Wilfred and Freda who have predeceased her, Mildred, Audrey, Isabel, Shirley, Robert, Philip, Gordon, Henry, Keith and Paul. We would like to Thank Richmond Villa, who went beyond the "Call of Duty". You are an amazing people. We love you all. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. both in the Richmond Villa Chapel, St. Peter’s. The Villa will serve a light lunch after the service. From there we will take Maizie home to her final resting place in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater with a graveside service on Saturday, September 30 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Maizie may be in her honor to the Richmond Villa Recreation Dept., St. Peter’s.
