CAMPBELL, Florence Katherine -94, Boylston, Guysborough Co., passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Manchester, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Harding and Carrie Annie (Myers) Hull.
She was a member of the former Boylston United Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She volunteered at the Manchester Fire Department in Boylston. Florence went to work in the U.S.A. and moved back home when she was 42 years old. She got 14 medals playing Scrabble every year at the Older Adult Games.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hamilton Campbell; sisters, Dorothy Simpson, Mae Hayden and Lottie Imlay; brother, John Hull.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday from Boylston United Church, with Rev. David and Betty Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Boylston. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
